Track Name: Brooklyn
To the city
The city we come in droves
To find something
There's something we're all hoping for
Everybody's hoping
they're gonna find something

And when it's over
It's over, we all go home
to make babies, grow gardens, and make some stir fry
Stir fry
So everybody's moving to Brooklyn

Not just on Saturday night
Not just in the winter or the summertime
Something inside my mind says
“You know, I feel like going out tonight”

You said I'm crazy
I'm crazy for moving here
Then you followed me
And even after ten years of failure
You still think that you're gonna be famous

But we don't care
We don't care what you wanna be
We just wanna ride bikes and make catchy beats
And that's why
Everybody's moving to Brooklyn

Not just on Saturday night
Not just in the winter or the summertime
Something inside your mind says
"You know, I feel like going out tonight”

Who's playing at Union Hall?
Or maybe we should go to BAM
I know, let's head up to Williamsburg
and see the Hasidim and the hipsters breaking bread

We're all different
We're all different but we're all the same
We work hard and live close
But we're sick of the rat race
So everybody's moving to Brooklyn

Yeah, everybody's moving to Brooklyn
Track Name: Darkness
Enjoy your happiness
soon enough the darkness will find you.
Your playful youthfulness
will turn into the shadows behind you.

Everyone was happy once.
But then comes the time in all our lives
when everything goes wrong.
And even the sunshine's gonna burn out one day.

So make the most of it.
Don't let the bitter people get you down.
They'll try, they'll try.
You'll face the worst of it
when you're trying to make a joyful sound.
Like la la la la.

Everyone was happy once
but then someone took it all away.
But baby it's ok.
Even the sunshine's gonna burn out one day.

We're meant to feel
all of these emotions.
Don't let sadness get you down.
For in the dark there is devotion
to the ocean of your heart.
Track Name: Analog or Digital
They kicked me out of school ’cause they said I didn’t listen, but Veronica knew I was heavy into Zeppelin. I could never get job with a paid vacation because the records I play are my only education.

I turn it up.

She hooked me on a line with her walkman and her radio. She knew all the records that the other girls didn’t know. At night I couldn’t sleep so I lay there with my headphones on, thinking of her eyes while I listen to her favorite song.

I turn it up.

The guru chants “om” to shut out the people. The choir sings out in the halls of cathedrals. They try to find a way to beat the forces of evil. It doesn’t matter if she’s analog or digital.

It doesn’t matter if she’s analog or digital.
Track Name: Disguise
Everybody knows you're lying.
Everyone can see you're trying
to be something your not.
But you can't see it.

So ignorance is bliss
is the only way you can live.
Ignoring the truth right in front of your eyes
comes so easy.

I wonder what it feels like
to always wear a disguise
and make believe it's who you are.

You could go so far
as someone else,
without the baggage of yourself.
Reinventing who you are
is so 2012, it's so 2012.

So everyone I know is buying
all the latest fads.
They're trying to be something they're not.
It looks so easy.

I wonder what it feels like
to always wear a disguise.
And make believe it's who you are.

You could go so far.
Track Name: Melody
Melody, melody
I miss your face, I miss the way you move

All you left, we're shiny shoes
Now city streets, the only sounds I hear

What am I gonna sing without you
Melody brings the songs alive
Give a me a chance to give you harmony

And if you'd just come back to me
we'd sing a song, the world would sing along
A perfect symphony

What am I gonna sing without you
Melody brings the songs alive
Give a me a chance to give you harmony

You brought me to my knees
Track Name: Lose
You think I run away, I'm gonna stay.
Nothing you can do can change my ways.
I don't wanna fight, I'm a lover.

You spit in my face, you flex your arms.
You look so touch but your heads on wrong.
You should turn around, your days are numbered.

'Cause love has always ruled the world
it's deep within our souls, you can't fight it.
And all the little boys and girls,
that wanna play with guns - it's no use.
You always lose to love.
You're always gonna lose to love.

Now when she ran away she stole my heart.
Through it in a bag, and took the R.
I was filled with pain, and hate and anger.

The years went by I was such a mess,
I didn't wanna deal with my aching chest.
I had given up and then I found you.

And love has always ruled the world
it's deep within our souls, you can't fight it.
And all the little boys and girls,
that wanna play with guns -it's no use.
You always lose to love.
You're always gonna lose to love.
Track Name: Tangerine
On your mark, get ready set go
Oh, They say it's a brand new day
but I don't think so

'Cause none of the slogans
and none of the billboards
and certainly not the TV shows

Are gonna convince me
the world wants to prince me
So everyone says cheer up
But don't they know that

Sad people are the happiest inside.
There's no room for a bleeding heart to hide
I see you laughing in your eyes
And no one else notices

The first time I met you
your hair was dyed tangerine
You looked like a wreck
I thought she's amazing

My heart was exploding
but my mind was imploding
I didn't know what to say
the best I could do was

Sad people are the happiest inside
There's no room for a bleeding heart to hide
I see you laughing in your eyes
And no one else notices

Now that you found me
everything is quite different
I laugh at the billboards
even watch the TV shows

Buried inside us
was something I didn't know
Oh, but now I know

Sad people are the happiest inside
There's no room for a bleeding heart to hide
I see you laughing in your eyes
Track Name: Spin
You try to make my own way
day after day, week after week
You try to find a parking spot
seems like a little, but feels like a lot

All those things in your life
adding up on your shoulders.
I've been feelin' what your feeling too
and so I wrote this little spin for ya

On and on and on
So tired you can't believe
crack a smile and pick up your feet
On and on and on
An elliptical philosophy
You gotta keep spinnin, oh you keep spinnin

So keep your chin up, or do a push-up
Whatever you think you need to do
Feeling like the only one
Remember all the folks before me and you.

And think of all the things they've done
Between the settings of the sun
The world can be a magic place
But you gotta keep on running in the race

On and on and on
So tired you can't believe
crack a smile and pick up your feet
On and on and on
An elliptical philosophy
You gotta keep spinnin, oh you keep spinnin

When you're feelin' down, everyone's around
To make you laugh like a clown
But when you're feelin' great, that's when they bring the hate
Jealous of what you might have found
Everybody wants to be, the king and queen of the kingdom
But we've all got the same king
Spinning the world for everyone to sing

Spinning the world for everyone to sing
Track Name: People Change
I can see that everybody thinks I've lost my mind
just trying to figure out my life
that's why I gotta leave this town

It's better late than never
I know you love to say that line
But now that I've made up my mind
you go and freak out

Maybe you can't see who I am isn't all I can be
Oh I've taken all your thoughts into consideration
but I'm gonna do this my way

I'm changing the weather
I'm making it better
It's just a matter of time
You'll see I'm somebody else now
not just on the outside
but inside of my mind

Aliens abducted me and then they did some tests
They told me the results were this:
that I didn't value my life

Every single second that we live and breathe is a gift
It's so easy to let that slip
so when they beamed me back down to Earth

They said that from now on
I had to do what's in my heart no matter what. What?
Or else they'd come and implant something
horrible inside of my gut
oh no no

I'm changing the weather
I'm making it better
It's just a matter of time
You'll see I'm somebody else now
not just on the outside
but inside of my mind
